Lessons Learned Today I bumped into an old school mate of mine. My first reaction was excitement because I hadn't seen him in a while and my second reaction was curiosity; because I wanted to know what he had done with his life since the last time we saw each other. After the initial awkwardness had passed he started to fill me in on all the things that happened in his life these past five years. After he had finished filling me in on the events of his life, I caught myself thinking – gosh Darren* has really changed so much over the years and how wrong my first impression of him was.  Simple Things For some time now I have been listening to 'Miguel’s - simple things’ and the lyrics of the song are beautiful when you genuinely listen to what he is saying. The main thing I got from the song is that sometimes we need to re-group, re-align and re-focus and find pleasure in the simple things in life.  Life is complicated enough as it as and the older you get the more complicated it will become.
