RESPECT MY HUSTLE

So recently I got a promotion at work. A sort of step up if you will and I thought to myself yes, cheers to the high life all will be well and I'm going to rock this ish out the freak'n ball park....

Man was I wrong and I mean super wrong...

Firstly when you step up nobody wants to help you. When your climbing that ladder of success only those who truly want you to see you succeed will push and stretch you beyond your limits. Everyone, well they are just waiting to see how far up the ladder you get before it all falls apart and you come tumbling down to the bottom. That's when I discovered how far the human spirit can be pushed, tossed and refined in the fire before it actually crumbles and falls apart.

I've worked hard to get to where I am today through Prayer and sheer Hard Work.

Why is it so hard for people to at least respect that. I mean you don't have to like me, that's ok because guess what when two people are hired by a company none of their contracts states that they have to be friends just because they work together. The only thing I ask from my new colleagues is for us to be civil with each other - civil enough for us to at least make great television and rather than prayer for the end of season so that you no longer have to work together.

So as of now on I've decided that if people won't accept or acknowledge my hustle then I'm not going to go home and cry myself to sleep. I work to damn hard to get here to be discouraged by some randoms who have no idea of the amount of hours, passion, ambition and prayer I've put in to get here.

My moral of the story - stepping up is always an awesome thing, moving from one position to the next means growth and growth is a great thing - however be prepared to fight to stay on top because the people you think will be of help to you are the ones wait for an opportunity to pull you under.
